Board of Education Meetings

The purpose of the Regular/ Public meeting is to conduct the business of the Board. 

All meetings are open to the public and are held the third Tuesday of each month (see the most current year's schedule).

Meetings commence promptly at 6:30 pm. ALL Meetings will be held IN PERSON.

In October 2023, we have returned to a rotating schedule of holding the Board meetings at the school sites. Please see the Calendar​ or Agendas & Minutes page​ for each month's location!!! 

Expected Behavior of Audience and Presenters:
In public Board of Education meetings, all attendees, including the audience and presenters, are expected to behave respectfully and professionally. Audience members should listen attentively, avoid disruptions, and show respect to everyone present. They should follow the established procedures for commenting or asking questions and refrain from personal attacks or derogatory language. Presenters should deliver clear and concise presentations, treat all participants with respect, and support their arguments with relevant information. Following these expectations will create a productive and respectful environment for meaningful discussions and decision-making.

Committee of the Whole Meetings (Regular & Special)

Committee of the Whole meetings are to seek clarification on issues, to obtain input from the public, or to provide information to the public. The Committee of Whole can make recommendations to the Board for consideration and decision. 

Meetings commence promptly at 3:30 pm unless otherwise noted. All meetings are open to the public. 

Meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month. Individuals and groups are welcome to make presentations. β€‹

ALL Committee of the Whole meetings will be held via a HYBRID Zoom Videoconference from the Boardroom of the Board Education Office (33046 Fourth Avenue, Mission, BC) to make the meetings better accessible.  (see details below)

Trades & Training Advisory Committee

The Trades Training Advisory Committee is an Advisory Committee to the Board of Education, tasked with reviewing and advising on the opportunities, barriers, and options for trades training for Mission students. 

Meetings commence promptly at 4:00 pm unless otherwise noted.
