French Immersion is a Program of Choice offered at Mission Public Schools. The program is available at two elementary schools, one middle school, and one secondary school.

Parents interested in enrolling their child should register at the designated school offering the program, based on their catchment area. Admission is subject to available space and follows the program’s established guidelines.​​

Why Choose Late French Immersion

​Mission Public Schools is offering a unique opportunity for students registering for middle school next school year.  Join the brand-new Late French Immersion cohort starting in September 2025! Late French Immersion students will be in a cohort from grades 7-9, including some classes with other students from the school. The goal is for the students in the cohort to develop their proficiency in French by receiving intensive education. Students will join the early immersion program at Γ‰cole Mission Secondary in grade 10 and receive their Double Dogwood and DELF certification in grade 12.​

For who: All grade 6 students registering in middle school in grade 7 are eligible to register, even if Γ‰cole Heritage Park Middle is not your catchment school. It is an inclusive program open to students with any first home language.
