School Bus Routes and Fee Schedule
2009-10 School Bus Routes
The following schedules outline the morning and afternoon bus service provided by Mission Public Schools.
Bus service is provided at no cost to those students who attend their catchment area school and live outside the District established walk limits. The walk limits are 4 km for Kindergarten to Grade 7 students and 4.8 km for Grades 8 to 12 students.
Courtesy rider students: Starting in October 2009 students who live inside the established walk limits for their catchment school or attend a program or school of choice, will be able to ride a school bus if;
- They access an existing bus stop,
- There is space available on the bus,
- They have received approval from the Transportation Department,
- The applicable fees have been paid/passes purchased, in accordance with the Mission Public Schools Bus Fee Schedule.
NOTE: Where midday busing occurs and using the same regulations, midday busing of Kindergarten courtesy riders may be available following the completion of gradual entry.
Courtesy rider students living furthest away will be given first priority, in accordance with Mission Public Schools Transportation Policy #18.
All students requesting bus service, both eligible riders and courtesy riders, are required to make application for transportation at their school. Student Transportation Request Forms are available at schools and listed down below on the website.
