  1. Call to Order

    2. The meeting of the Board of Education of School District #75 (Mission) was called to order at 1:45 pm on Monday, August 24, 2009 by Chair Hamilton.

  2. Adoption of Agenda

    3. MOTION
    That the agenda be approved as presented.

    CARRIED
    MOTION
    That the Board of Education approve the following bus pass rates for annual passes, one-way riders and multi-student families, to be implemented beginning in September 2009:

    Secondary students:
    $30 per month for two-way riders (approved at the regular meeting of the Board in May)
    $270 per year if purchased annually – pro rated to $240 for 2009/10
    $20 per month for one-way riders
    $180 per year if purchased annually – pro rated to $160 for 2009/10

    Elementary students:
    $20 per month for two-way riders (approved at the regular meeting of the Board in May)
    $180 per year if purchased annually – pro rated to $160 for 2009/10
    $12 per month for one-way riders
    $110 per year if purchased annually – pro rated to $100 for 2009/10

    Multi-student families:
    100% of fees for 1st student
    60% of fees for 2nd student
    40% of fees for 3rd student
    0% of fees for all other students
    CARRIED (PA/CM)

    Trustee Cairns opposed this motion.

    That the meeting adjourns at 1:50 pm.
