Snack Program

Snacks provided in the schools through the Feeding Futures program will consist of fruits and vegetables to encourage nutritious snacking.  Mission Public Schools partnered with Fresh for Kids | BC Agriculture in the Classroom to assist with providing us with BC grown produce.  This program is being funded through the School District from the Feeding Futures department.

We’re excited to share an important update to how we’re partnering with Fresh For Kids!

Starting this year, all food will be delivered centrally to the school district, allowing us to distribute fresh fruits and vegetables directly through our breakfast programs. This new model ensures that students still receive high-quality produce—now in a more efficient and sustainable way.
Rather than sending large deliveries directly to individual schools, we’ll be shifting to smaller, more frequent distributions. This approach significantly reduces food waste while ensuring freshness and flexibility across our sites.
It’s a thoughtful change rooted in both impact and efficiency, and we’re excited about the benefits it will bring to our students and programs.
